On Saturday, August 21st DCPS will host its sixth annual Beautification Day.  This citywide event brings community members, businesses and over two thousand volunteers together to support our students by enhancing our school grounds.  Beautification Day activities include light painting, landscaping, trash pick-up and sorting school supplies.

Volunteers and supplies are needed at over 100 schools. I encourage everyone to participate. This day provides an opportunity to enhance our schools and interact with community members who support our efforts.

Here are some ways you can help:
  • Share the attached flyers with family, friends and neighbors
  • Volunteer at a school near you - Click here: Register for Beautification Day 2010
  • Lead a group of volunteers as site manager
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at Allison.williams@dc.gov  or 202.724.1506.

We look forward to seeing you on the 21st!

Thanks,

Allie Williams
