Edgewood G8 Bus Route Followup Meeting

The follow-up meeting with WMATA will take place on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 6:30 pm.

The meeting will be held at the Baptized Believers Temple, which is located at 2801 7th Street, N.E.

Phase 2 Fare Changes Start August 1

 

In response to customer comments to avoid service cuts, Metro took a number of actions to maintain services, including obtaining more funding from the government jurisdictions. But fare adjustments are still required. The second phase of those changes takes effect on August 1.

Metro will enact a new 20¢ surcharge during peak-of-the- peak periods (weekdays 7:30 - 9 a.m. and 4:30 - 6 p.m., based on the starting time of the trip). The surcharg...

METRO Increases will take effect on or about

 March 1 through June 30

Metro’s Board of Directors approved a 10-cent increase on Metrobus, Metrorail and MetroAccess fares to help close an existing $40 million budget gap. The fare increase will take effect on or about March 1 through June 30, and it also will apply to weekly Metrobus and Metrorail passes.
