PSA 501 Monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday May 18 at 7:00pm at the Edgewood Rec. Center Located at 3rd and Evarts Street NE, and not at the Harry Thomas Center. Thanks to Commander Solberg and Capt. Brian Grogan. The Edgewood Civic Association
requested that the monthly PSA 501 Meeting meetings be moved from the
Harry Thomas Center to the Edgewood Rec. Center for the months of May ,

Hello 5D!
I am Andy Solberg, a 23-year member of the MPD and as of today, I will be trying to replace Lamar Greene as your District Commander.
As you know, Cmdr. Greene is now Assistant Chief Greene. When I met this afternoon with Chief Lanier, she laid out for me all the successes the Fifth District had with Cmdr. Greene as the leader.

To my community, today I had the distinct honor of being promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department by Chief Cathy L. Lanier. She has assigned me to the Homeland Security Branch. It has been a very challenging yet joyful experience working with the Fifth District community. On January 13, 2011, at approximately 2pm a 16 year old male subject was approached by another male subject in the 600 block of Edgewood Street NE. During their interaction the suspect produced a gun firing several times striking the victim twice. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and currently is in stable condition.
