Crisis at Edgewood Rec

On Tuesday, I decided to stroll over to the Edgewood Rec Center and play a game of basketball and enjoy the nice weather under one of the large oaks they have on the property. My experience was quite the contrary. At first I was pleased to see a group of students from Shade elementary enjoying some of the new playground equipment put in during the recent renovations. Then I saw what they were playing in and around.... The following message is from ANC Commissioner Silas Grant regarding funds to rebuild the Edgewood Rec Center.   The Edgewood Civic association has held numerous meetings regarding the current money set aside to rebuild the Edgewood Rec center. We have asked that the money be moved up immediately to start the design and build process.
