Shaed School Closing

Shaed Education Center will close at the end of the school year and the students will be transitioning to the Emery Education Center,which will be moving to the Langely School at 101 T St. NE.in the old Hyde Charter School location. Margie Yeager from the Office of The Chancellor attended the January meeting of the Edgewood Civic Association to speak to the community about the proposal and to hear from the community about their concerns with this proposal. DCPS Beautification Day

On Saturday, August 21st DCPS will host its sixth annual Beautification Day.  This citywide event brings community members, businesses and over two thousand volunteers together to support our students by enhancing our school grounds.  Beautification Day activities include light painting, landscaping, trash pick-up and sorting school supplies.
