Continued Assaults on The Met Branch Trail

The Metropolitan Branch Trail has been a great community amenity since it's opening; however a few youth are attempting to devalue the trail by committing petty assaults on commuters. In the last week two bikers have been assaulted on the Edgewood portion of the trail between afternoon and evening hours. A couple of months ago there were several reports of rock throwing along the trail near the Edgewood section, but they have ceased presumably due to increased police presence.

The DC Building Industries Association has selected the Metropolitan Branch 
Trail for their 18th Annual Community Improvement Day project. Your help is 
needed to create an urban arboretum, teaching garden, hillside path, and 
retaining wall between the Rhode Island Avenue Shopping Center and Edgewood/8th
