DCPS Beautification Day

On Saturday, August 21st DCPS will host its sixth annual Beautification Day.  This citywide event brings community members, businesses and over two thousand volunteers together to support our students by enhancing our school grounds.  Beautification Day activities include light painting, landscaping, trash pick-up and sorting school supplies.

Illegal Dumping a Continual Nuisance

Illegal dumping seems to be one of the biggest ongoing problems in our community. The below photos are of the most recent dumping episodes at 208 Tst NE. These conditions are clearly deplorable and unacceptable. President, Michael Clark Sr. Has sent the email below to several DC agencies so the issue can be addressed immediately.

D.C. traffic fines going way up

Drivers who speed, litter, don't use their turn signals, blow past loading school buses or break dozens of other rules of the road will be subject to fine increases of up to several hundred dollars starting Tuesday.
