There are two cleanups being held in the Edgewood and Eckington community so we encourage the community to attend at least one and help keep our neighborhood clean. Brookland Artspace Lofts Ground Breaking in Edgewood
Today, Dance Place and Artspace broke ground on a new $13 million, government-sponsored arts campus, "Brookland Artspace Lofts", at 3225 8th Street, NE in the Edgewood neighborhood of DC. This message was posted to the Eckington List Serv. Robberies have been a concern in the community for many years now especially during the warmer months. MPD has done a great job taking dome of these criminals off the street, but the community still needs to do there part to help deter crime.

I wanted to make sure everyone knew that we are now open nights and Saturdays at Pound! We heard from many locals and neighbors that they really wanted us to be open when they were home from work. So our hours are now Monday-Friday 6:30am to 7:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
